Digital Video - glitch on tape - strange encoding
After having taped more than 50 DV tapes using my Sony PC2E camcorder, I suddently have had
strange problems on the tape I have captured on. When visiting Greece in June this year,
I taped 6 tapes. One full tape and the first 26 minutes of another tape is full of strange
glitches. These glitches appears on the tape. When capturing the tapes I get no dropped frames, and the
datestramps are all just fine.
However, the sound is useless, it sounds as every half second is missing and a lot of noise occurs.
The frames are fairly strange. Some with glitches in - but even more strange, the captured
frames are encoded very strange. It is almost as several frames have been encoded on top of each
other.
